WELL HERE....WE....GO! After David Ortiz's monstrous home run in the sixth inning of game 2 it looked like Boston would be well on their way to a 2-0 series lead and a stranglehold over the Cardinals. But as we have learned time in and time again with St Louie, they are literally never out of any game or situation and what transpired after he home run was part luck and part Cardinals magic as they came back and won it 4-2.

Now the series shifts to the Arch City for 3 games and game 3's winner will really have a huge leg up on this series ,especially if its St Louis who will have Adam Wainwright again in game 5 at home and possibly even 4. Jake Peavy will take the hill for the Sox was awful in his last start just lasting 3 innings and giving up 7 earned run to the Tigers in game 4 of the ALCS. Joe Kelly lost one in the NLCS and got a ND in the epic St Louis win 13 inn win in the opener against LA, but has pitched better at home over the latter part of the season.

Boston and St Louis both have tremendously balanced teams and that is why this series is such a toss up. I am not one who ever feels that home field advantage in baseball in a huge factor, but that crowd in St Louis is going to be on fire and this seems like the type of game that if the Cards get on the board first things could get really dicey and loud for the Red Sox.

The series turned on a dime during game 2 as the Cardinals would have been in a world of hurt down 2-0, but stemmed the tide and with the help of Carlos Beltran, some Sox mistakes, and some great pitching by Wacha Wacha and the pen, they have seized momentum. That will continue in game 3 as Jake Peavy simply can't be trusted. Look for St Louie to make a huge statement with a win in game 3.

ST LOUIS 6 BOSTON 4
