Kraft Foods Issues Cheese Recall

SILVER SPRING, MD (WWJ) - Kraft foods is recalling about 735,000 cases of its cheese.

The company recalled its Kraft and Polly-O string cheese because they may spoil before their "Best When Used By" code dates — which leads to discoloration.

The products were dated from October 25, 2013, to February 11, 2014.

The cheese was shipped to Kraft customers across the United States. Kraft says consumers who purchased any of its products should not eat it. Instead, they should return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund.

For more information, consumers also can contact Kraft Foods Consumer Relations at 1-800-816-9432 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (EST).
