Red Wings Recall Petr Mrazek
DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings today recalled goaltender Petr Mrazek from the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins.
A native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, Mrazek has appeared in five games with Grand Rapids this season, posting a 2-2-1 record with a 3.14 GAA and 0.891 save percentage. The 21-year-old netminder has played in two career NHL games, winning his Red Wings debut last season with 26 saves in a 5-1 win at St. Louis on Feb. 7. He has a 1-1 record with Detroit, alongside a 2.02 GAA and 0.922 save percentage.
As a first-year pro in 2012-13, Mrazek posted a 23-26-2 record with a 2.33 GAA and 0.916 save percentage in 42 regular-season appearances. He helped Grand Rapids to a Calder Cup championship, playing every minute of the team's 24 playoff games with a 15-9 record, 2.31 GAA, 0.916 save percentage and four shutouts.
