Michigan Celebrates Small Business Nominations Extended
LANSING (WWJ) -- Nominations for the 10th Annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business awards have been extended to Nov. 15.
Also under way are nominations for the Michigan 50 Companies To Watch awards.
Specifically for second-stage companies headquartered in the state of Michigan, this award honors 50 private businesses annually. Besides demonstrating growth in employee and revenues, these companies are remarkable for high performance in their marketplace, innovative products, unique processes or philanthropic actions. This award seeks companies from a range of industries and from all regions of Michigan. All candidates must submit an application, and companies need not be nominated to apply.
Also open are nominations for the Innovation Award.
To be eligible for this award, the product or service must have been developed by the applicant and earned revenue for the first time during the previous three years from Nov. 2, 2010. The innovation must be by a Michigan company with fewer than 500 employees.
