Comcast Offers Free Calls To Philippines, Free Filipino Channel

PLYMOUTH (WWJ) -- In the devastating aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan, Comcast Corp. Wednesday announced that it is offering free calls to the Philippines to its 10.5 million Xfinity Voice residential customers.

This will apply to calls made to the Philippines until Nov. 22. Credits and waived fees will be automatic and no action will be required by customers.

Also, Comcast said that to help its customers stay better connected to news and updates in the aftermath of the storm, Comcast is making the Filipino Channel, which has been providing special coverage on the ground in the Philippines, available at no additional cost to all Xfinity TV digital customers through Friday in areas where the channel is currently carried.
