If you believe Sports Illustrated’s Stewart Mandel, Michigan State will finally get to a BCS game this season and they don’t have to win the Big 10 to do it. In his latest bowl prediction, Mandel has the Spartans losing the Big 10 title game to Ohio State, but meeting Clemson as an at large selection in the Orange Bowl. I know it’s not exactly what MSU fans want, but a BCS game is quite an accomplishment.

As far as Michigan, Mandel has the Wolverines facing Oklahoma in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Considering the way this season has gone for Michigan, meeting another storied program who had a less than stellar year is not such a bad thing.
