Chilly Temps Don't Stop Holiday Makers From Getting Live Trees For Christmas

SALEM TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Christmas is just 26-days away, and that's sending many metro Detroiters out to buy live trees this weekend.

Gary Whittaker, the owner of Three Cedars Farm in Salem Township, spoke with WWJ's Beth Fisher about the most popular tree ...

"Fraser fur is the most popular tree because it has soft needles and the needles last and they don't fall off," said Whittaker. "So it's a good quality tree that lasts the whole season."

Three Cedars (BFisher)Three Cedars Farm works some fall favorites into the Christmas season, indoors you can still buy cider and donuts as you browse the Christmas shop.

Whittaker says tree prices range from $35 on up - it's expected to be a very busy weekend for Christmas tree shopping.

He notes their trees are Michigan grown.
