Panthers Replace Glass With Cardboard?

Florida isn't exactly known as a hockey town. Florida is known for football, sunshine, pretty ladies, South Beach and of course old people. Not one of those things have anything in common with hockey.

So it may be no surprise if the Florida Panthers haven't learned all the technicalities when it comes to maintaining and running a NHL franchise. Last night during the Red Wings @ Panthers game, the glass behind one of the goals was cracked, so of course it had to be replaced right? Right! It appeared on TV last night that instead of replacing the glass with actual glass they replaced with what looked like cardboard or even plywood.

It actually wasn't either one of those options. They were allegedly unable to remove the protective paper that was on the glass.

My only question is how could those people behind the replaced glass see the game?
