LANSING (WWJ) — The Lansing software developer IDV Solutions has released version 6.0 of its Visual Fusion data visualization software. The company called it a major upgrade.
Visual Fusion is a platform for building map-based applications that organizations can use to make better, more strategic decisions. With Visual Fusion, organizations can rapidly craft powerful visualizations that unite data from multiple sources and systems on an interactive map, timeline, charts, and graphs.
Among the new features in Visual Fusion 6.0 are a new timeline interface that lets users easily query their data based on time searches. The new time queries work interactively with geographic spatial queries and dynamic filtering, enabling a business user to drill down into complex data sets and gain insight based on place, time, and content.
Also, users now have more control over the appearance of the map, and can apply new labeling and styling options.
And the “Favorite views” section of the software has been enhanced to create the business data visualization equivalent of a bookmark, letting users easily create, tag, save, and share visualizations with colleagues.
Visual Fusion powers big data visualization applications the oil and gas industry, offers analysis to the retail industry, provides information on traveler risk management, and serves in the transportation management, project management, government and military sectors.
Visual Fusion technology, which received Safety Act designation from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, is the foundation of IDV Solutions’ Visual Command Center physical security and risk visualization software.
“Visual Fusion 6 opens up new frontiers for organizations seeking powerful business intelligence and big data visualization solutions,” said Scott Caulk, vice president of platform and OEM business. “Whether a solution is for internal use, or a customized, line-of-business Web application for a customer, Visual Fusion is the platform of choice to rapidly build solutions that accelerate insight and streamline operations.”
