Charges Could Come Today In Dismemberment Case

ST. CLAIR SHORES (AP) — Authorities say a suburban Detroit woman could face charges soon in the death of her adult son, whose dismembered remains were found dumped in trash bags along the sides of roads.

Police in the Detroit suburb of St. Clair Shores say the Macomb County prosecutor's office is expected to review a warrant request for murder and dismemberment charges Monday in the case.

Police took the 59-year-old woman into custody Friday. She could face an arraignment as soon as Monday.

The woman lives in St. Clair Shores, just east of Detroit. The victim was reported missing Jan. 26 and identified through fingerprints.

There are reports Donna Scrivo had tried to commit her 32-year-old son for psychiatric treatment last May. The effort was not successful and came just days after she left a birthday message for her son on Facebook, featuring a country song. Scrivo is expected to be arraigned today for Ramsey Scrivo's murder.

The man's remains were found Thursday in neighboring St. Clair County, about 50 miles northeast of Detroit.
