According to officials at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, 28-year old Hugh Miller of Saline was walking along Burkhart Road, near Grand River, when the accident occurred.

Investigators say 27-year old Christopher Juarez of Howell was traveling southbound, in his 2003 Buick Rendezvous, when he struck Miller.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. Juarez wasn’t hurt.

Burkhart Road was closed for longer than three hours while deputies investigated the accident.
