Police Seek Tips To Catch Novi Bank Robber

NOVI (WWJ) - Novi police are reaching out to the public for help to catch a bold bank robber caught on camera.

According to police, a male suspect entered the Charter One Bank branch, located at 41400 Ten Mile Road, at the corner of 10 Mile and Meadowbrook Roads, shortly before noon on Wednesday and handed a note to the teller demanding money.

The man implied he had a weapon, and no one saw a gun. He fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a short, black male, about 5 feet, three inches tall and 130 to 160 pounds.  He was wearing a black "The North Face" jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, light-colored baseball hat, black mask and sunglasses.The suspect's age, hair color and eye color are all unknown as his face and head were covered.
