Mayor Declares March Enrollment Month For Health Care

DETROIT (WWJ) - Mayor Mike Duggan has declared March Affordable Care Act Enrollment Month and is opening some Detroit firehouses and recreation centers for residents to sign up for health insurance.

Signup begins Monday and is part of Duggan's efforts to get as many residents enrolled by the March 31 federal deadline.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays firehouses at the following locations will be open for enrollment:

3737 E. Lafayette

4700 W. Fort

13939 Dexter

2300 S. Fort

16825 Trinity

The Adams Butzel Family Center and Butzel Family Center will be open from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
