Detroit Zoo's Bunnyville An 'Egg-Stravaganza' Of Family Fun

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) - An "egg-stravaganza" of family fun is planned for the Detroit Zoo's 23nd annual Bunnyville celebration on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.

The two-day event, which takes place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., features treats, games, crafts, live entertainment animal enrichment activities, zookeeper talks and more.

Bunnyville visitors can participate in the Golden Egg Hunt, play Funny Bunny Games, create springtime crafts and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Visitors can also stop by the Whisker Painting Station to get their official Bunnyville whiskers.

The Off Broadway Productions musical "The Bunny Follies" will be the main performance, taking place in the Events Pavilion each day at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Bunnyville visitors are encouraged to bring a canned or other non-perishable food item to be donated to Gleaners Community Food Bank. Each guest with a food donation will receive a reduced admission price of $8.

The 125-acre Detroit Zoo is located at the intersection of 10 Mile Rd. and Woodward, just off I-696, in Royal Oak. Admission is $14 for adults 15 to 61 and $10 for children 2 to 14, senior citizens 62 and older and active military with ID; children under 2 are free.
