Casting Call: Extras Wanted For Warner Bros. 'Batman Vs. Superman' Movie

TROY (WWJ) - If you've ever wanted to see yourself on the big screen --  here's your chance.

Warner Bros. is holding a casting call for extras to appear in their new "Batman vs. Superman" movie, which is scheduled to start filming this year around Michigan.

The casting call will take place April 27, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., at Somerset Inn on West Big Beaver Road in Troy.

Casting directors are specifically looking for men and women at least 18-years-old who are clean-cut military and law enforcement types or business executives in suits.

Actors should bring a pen to fill out application and dress to impress -- but don't wear a costume. Headshots will be taken on site, free of charge. Applicants must be available to work in Detroit-area locations during the week, either indoors or outside, anytime between June and November 2014.

No children will be allowed at the casting call. Parents who would like to submit their children, ages 9-15, for acting consideration are permitted to bring a small, current school-type picture.

Troy Somerset Inn is located at 2601 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy MI 48084. Actors are asked to park in the lot along Big Beaver Road and use the North Entrance.

A sequel to Snyder's "Man of Steel," the Batman-Superman film is set to be released in spring 2016. The film stars Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.

Michelle Grinnell, public relations manager for the Michigan Film Office, told WWJ's Terri Lee the film is the largest ever shot in Michigan, with a budget of about $131 million. She said the production will create hundreds of jobs for crew members and about 6,000 jobs for extras.
