The best time of the year is usually Opening Day for your favorite baseball team. But for the sake of their fans, the Atlanta Braves may want to rethink how they do their pregame fireworks.

The Braves opened their home schedule against the New York Mets, and they figured they would try something new for the fireworks. They used pyrotechnics from the top of the scoreboard.

Unfortunately, one of the fireworks hit the American flag and set it on fire.

Have you ever seen a fireworks mishap? The Braves have said they will replace the flag for Wednesday’s game.
