Police: Woman Fatally Stabs Boyfriend At Flint Home

FLINT (WWJ/AP) - Police say a 22-year-old man is dead after his 19-year-old girlfriend stabbed him in the chest at the man's Flint home.

According to Flint Police Sgt. Todd Pillsbury, officers responded to a call about a stabbing on the 2200 block of Mackin Road at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Pillsbury said the young woman went to the home to get some of her belongings. When an argument escalated, she allegedly grabbed a knife.

The woman was arrested later that night by police from nearby Flint Township.

The Flint Journal reports a 7-year-old girl who was sleeping at the time of the stabbing was carried out of the home by Flint police. It was not immediately known if the child was related to the victim or the suspect.

Names of those involved weren't immediately released.

The stabbing remains under investigation.
