Hero cat has taken the internet and the world by storm. Now hero cat, known to her family as Tara, will be throwing out the first pitch at a minor league baseball game on Tuesday, May 20th.

The Bakersfield Blaze are welcoming Tara, Jeremy (the boy she saved) and the rest of the family.

Tara and Jeremy are scheduled to arrive at 7:15 and throw out the first pitch at 7:30.

According to MILB.com the Blaze are even offering half off tickets to the game:

To celebrate what a truly well-loved animal can do, and hopefully to assist in placing animals in loving homes, the Blaze are offering half price tickets to any fan bringing unused animal toys or unopened animal food to the Tuesday, May 20th game.

Ever seen a cat throw a baseball? Probably not. But then, before this you probably never saw a cat potentially save a small boy’s life by destroying a dog in the front yard — so there’s a first time for everything.

Good to see cats get some good press. Thank you for that.
