The Silverdome is selling all of its goods and one of the prized possessions of the Silverdome was the endzone turf. Thursday ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted out the turf sold for $1950.

In my mind (I collect memorabilia) I believe that is a bargain. I thought it would go as high as $5000 but someone got a steal. I can imagine that the buyer has some room either in his backyard or maybe in a basement and will make it into a carpet type deal.

Just imagine all the great athletes that have played on the turf. It’s a nice buy.

How much would you have paid?
