I always look forward to the MLB All-Star game weekend. It’s cool to see all of the best players in the game join forces and represent their respective league.
This year, the Tigers will certainly have a few players represented at the 2014 MLB All-Star game in Minneapolis on July 15. Miguel Cabrera and Rick Porcello will undoubtedly make the American League team. It’s yet to be determined whether guys like Victor Martinez, Ian Kinsler, and perhaps Max Scherzer or Anibal Sanchez will make the squad. All of which, are very worthy, in my opinion.
In addition to the weekend festivities, the home run derby, and the all-star game itself, one other thing I always look forward to is the uniforms. I started to collect all-star game jerseys a few years ago and I’ll definitely try to add something from the upcoming 2014 game. There have been a lot of great all-star jerseys and hats since the game first started in 1933.
Each season, the respective all-star game city is represented in some way within the logo and gear. Here are the “Twins-inspired” hats that each Detroit Tigers all-star will wear at Target Field.
I like them a lot. What do you think? Will you buy one?
