How To Remove Your Home From Google Streetview

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Homeowners in metro Detroit can live like Paul McCartney, and even some of the neighbors of the Manoogian Mansion in Detroit, by having their homes blurred out on the Google Street View.

The Street View function allows Web users to search for addresses on a traditional map, a satellite view or photos from the street.

But if homeowners seek anonymity, Google offers the following option to blur out an image:

  • Locate your home on Google Street View,
  • Click "Report a problem" in the bottom-right of the image window,
  • Complete the form and click "Submit."
