Novi Police Warn Residents of Home Invasions

NOVI (WWJ) – A crime alert from Novi. Police say seven apartments have been broken into in the past five days.

Investigators say several people have noticed a couple young men knocking on apartment doors near Beck and Pontiac Trail roads in the north end of the city and Nine Mile and Novi Roads in the south end.

If someone answers, the suspects make up a name and ask if that person is home. If no one answers, the suspects break in and ransack the apartment looking for money or other valuables.

Police are asking residents to call 911 if they see anything that looks strange or suspicious.

Meantime, Novi police are also looking for a man who exposed himself to a woman on Monday [photos]

The suspect showed his private parts to a female shopper inside a store near Grand River and Wixom Road. The suspect was wearing medical scrubs. He took off in a red Dodge Dart. Again, anyone with information is asked to call Novi police.
