Farmington Hills Man Charged In Shooting Wife, Another Man

FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) -- A Farmington Hills man has been arrested after allegedly shooting his estranged wife and another man.

Police said that the shooter showed up at the Pavilion Court Apartment complex near 9 Mile and Haggerty Rd. Thursday where his estranged wife was with another man, pushed his way into the apartment and opened fire on both.

The other victim drove himself to the police department and was taken to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds. Both are expected to recover.

The estranged husband -- identified as 53-year-old Filip Pjetruski of Farmington Hills -- was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, three counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of 1st degree home invasion.

Pjetruski was taken into custody at the scene and one handgun was recovered. The woman was transported to an area hospital where she underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

Pjetruski was arraigned in front of Magistrate Andra Richardson of the 52-1 District Court in Novi who ordered him held on $2,000,000 cash/surety bond with a later court date is set for July 23.
