Police Search For Suspects After Heated Argument Takes Deadly Turn In Neighborhood

DETROIT (WWJ) - Gunfire on Detroit's northwest side has left one man dead and his wife critically injured.

It all began as an argument between two women who were neighbors on Mendota Avenue Saturday night, according to Detroit Police Sergeant Mike Woody.

"An argument ensued between a 29-year-old female and her female neighbor. At one point, the 29-year-old's husband came out of the home to break up the fight at which point the other female's husband came out and produced a weapon and fired at the other two victims," said Sgt. Woody.

Woody says the man died at the hospital and his wife is in critical condition.

He says police are looking for the suspected neighbor couple and anyone with information should call police or Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
