WESTLAND (WWJ) — Hundreds of gushing fans turned out to see Dancing With The Stars champion Maksim Chmerkovskiy at the Westland Shopping Center, who made an appearance there for its expansion on Saturday.

After winning the competition’s 18th season back in May with Olympic gold medalist Meryl Davis of West Bloomfield, Chmerkovskiy said that he doesn’t plan to come back for the show’s next season.

“You do something for almost nine years, I think it’s enough, no?” Chmerkovskiy said. “Fourteen seasons — how much more do you want, honestly? I know, people are just always hungry.”

Chmerkovskiy said that he plans to pursue acting and also owns several dance studios. Fan Rayyan Ameiche came from Canton to see Chmerkovskiy.

“I really like Max,” Ameiche said. “I was a big fan on Dancing With The Stars since the beginning.”

Of course, Chmerkovskiy was asked about rumors that he is dating singer Jennifer Lopez to which he said “let’s just leave it up to rumors.”
