Abandoned Infant Found Outside Dumpster In Highland Park
HIGHLAND PARK (WWJ) -- An abandoned newborn baby was found just outside a dumpster in Highland Park on Saturday afternoon.
According to FOX 2, Highland Park Police confirmed that the teenage girl who found and reported the baby is the baby's mother.
According to Cpl. Richard Cooper, the baby boy is "happy and healthy" considering the circumstances. Highland Park Police said the child was left near a dumpster behind an apartment complex on Hamilton Street near West Grand around 10:45 Saturday morning.
