Unintended iPhone Feature: New iPhone 6s Reportedly Bend

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - The new Apple iPhone 6 offers a number of intended new features including a larger screen, and apparently an unintended feature, it reportedly bends in the pockets of owners.

There are a number of stories citing posts on Apple user forums where owners of the new iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, report the new smart phones have bent after only a few days of use.

Owners of the iPhone reported that the new devices bent after being in their pockets for just a few hours, and also took to Twitter to show the effects of being in a pocket.

According to Mashable, the new phones are thinner than previous models and are made with the soft, malleable metal aluminum, which could cause the phones to bend if they are placed in pockets. Some Twitter users wondered if hipsters and their skinny jeans may not mix well with the new iPhones.

CNET reports iPhone owners had similar issues following the launch of iPhone 5s, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s. Apple declined to comment to CNET.
