Police Release Sketch Of Hit-And-Run Driver Suspected Of Killing Woman

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police have released a composite sketch of a hit-and-driver suspected of killing a 55-year-old woman on the city's west side last month.

Police believe the suspect was driving a black or dark-colored Pontiac Grand Prix in the area of Greenfield Road and Ellis Street around 10 p.m. on Sept. 17 when she struck a woman who was crossing the street.

After the collisions, police say the suspect fled the area. The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was declared dead at the scene.

The suspect is described as a black female in her late 20s to early 30s, with a smaller build. Her vehicle has a partial license plate of "DAA 42," police said.
