Hornets' Taylor Faces Hearing In Assault Case
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Charlotte Hornets forward Jeffery Taylor is expected to attend a pre-trial court hearing in Michigan on domestic assault and other charges.
Taylor is scheduled to appear Wednesday morning in East Lansing District Court for the hearing, a week before jury selection is set to take place. Taylor has been charged with domestic assault, assault and malicious destruction of property stemming from a Sept. 25 incident at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place.
Days after the arrest, Taylor was banned from all team-related activities and team officials said they would await the outcome of an NBA-led investigation before deciding whether to reinstate him.
The Associated Press left a message for defense attorney Harold Fried.
Taylor is from Norrkoping, Sweden, and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
