Women Turn To Integrative Medicine To Relieve Symptoms During Menopause

DETROIT (WWJ) - Hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain: just a few symptoms associated with menopause.

Specialist Rosalyn Rogers says some women are turning toward integrative medicine for help.

"It's the use of allopathic as well as herbs and plants," she told WWJ Health Reporter Dr. Deanna Lites.

Rogers said bioidentical hormones can improve menopausal symptoms.

"We are very much about using natural bioidentical progesterone cream that comes from a wild yam plant," Rogers said. "...How can we turn back the clock? By balancing hormones we can restore energy, manage body weight, maintain youthful skin, and stop bone loss."
