MSU's Jones, Michigan's Lytle Entering College Football HOF

DETROIT (AP) — Michigan State's Clinton Jones and Michigan's Rob Lytle have been selected for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Jones was a three-year letterman from 1964-66 for coach Duffy Daugherty. He finished sixth in the 1966 Heisman Trophy voting and led Michigan State in rushing as a junior and senior.

Lytle finished third in the 1976 Heisman balloting. That season, he set what was then the school record with 1,469 yards rushing. He was at one point Michigan's career leader in rushing and still ranks among the top 10.

The Hall of Fame class of 15 players and two coaches was announced Friday by the National Football Foundation.
