Packers Release Bostick, Who Mishandled Seattle Onside Kick

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers have released tight end Brandon Bostick, who mishandled a Seattle onside kick in the Packers' loss in the NFC title game last month.

Green Bay announced Tuesday the team had released Bostick and wide receiver Kevin Dorsey.

The Packers blew a 16-0 lead in the 28-22 overtime loss to the Seahawks, who benefited from a pair of special teams mistakes. Seahawks holder Jon Ryan threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to tackle Garry Gilliam on a fake field goal and then Bostick didn't block during the onside kick late in the game, mishandling the ball that Seattle recovered.

Bostick spent the entire 2012 season on the Packers' practice squad before appearing in 24 games the past two seasons, making nine catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
