New Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson has had a hot hand lately -- but it takes some work to keep it that way.

Following Tuesday's victory over the Toronto Raptors, Jackson spoke to the media about why he wears $210 battery-powered, heated hunters gloves while he's on the bench during games.

"They keep my hands warm so I can keep feeling the ball," Jackson told Terry Foster at the Detroit News. "Throughout the game my hands would get to the point where they were freezing."

Jackson found out while he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder that he has a problem keeping his hands warm during games. He said that he started to lose feeling in his extremities after he started running.

They seem to be working. In his last five games, Jackson has averaged 20.2 points, 12.2 assists, six rebounds and shooting 46.3 percent from the floor.
