Former major league reliever Kyle Farnsworth played for the Detroit Tigers in the 2005 and 2008 seasons. In 2005, Farnsworth had a 2.32 ERA in 46 games for the Tigers.

Now the former Tiger, Cub, Brave, Yankee, Royal, Ray, Pirate, Met and Astro has found himself another activity since he has been away from baseball.

The 39-year-old is now playing football for the Orlando Phantoms.

You might remember that Kyle Farnsworth had thrown some punches in his baseball past, so it sounds like football might suit him.

It doesn't appear that Farnsworth playing football is just a publicity stunt. According to hostedsports.com, he leads his team in tackles with 41 and sacks with 11. Farnsworth comes in second on the team in tackles for loss.

Pretty impressive for a former pitcher.
