Former Tiger C.J. Nitkowski Answers Which Is Tougher: Triple Crown In Baseball Or Horse Racing?

For the first time in 37 years, horse racing has a triple crown winner.
American Pharoah won the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, which ended the drought.
This accomplishment has prompted a debate:
What's a tougher achievement? Horse racing's triple crown, or baseball's triple crown?
When Miguel Cabrera won the triple crown in 2012, it was the first time someone accomplished that feat in 45 years. He hit 44 HRs, recorded 139 RBIs and posted a .330 batting average. However, some would argue that it's much more difficult for a horse to win the Derby, Preakness, and the Belmont in the same year.
I spoke to former Detroit Tiger, and current MLB analyst for CBS Sports and Fox Sports 1, CJ Nitkowski, who weighed in on this debate.
"For me, I think it's tougher to do in baseball. What Miguel Cabrera did was just absolutely phenomenal. Nowadays, you have the power guys who are going to hit a ton of home runs, and other guys who hit for average. To be able to do both, and get the RBIs to go with it, I was blown away that he did it and I'll be shocked if we see it again anytime soon."
