Cedar Point Offers Free Admission For Military Members, Family Discounts Over 4th Of July Weekend

SANDUSKY (WWJ) – Cedar Point is saluting America's Armed Forces this Independence Day weekend.

During this special event, all active, retired and honorably discharged members of the United States Armed Forces can receive free admission into both Cedar Point and Soak City, with a valid ID, Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5.

Valid forms of ID include: active duty ID, retired personnel ID, VA ID or a copy of DD-214 discharge papers and photo ID.

Immediate family members also receive a special discount on admission by purchasing a regular ticket priced at $39.99, a savings of more than $22. Discounted tickets can be only purchased at park admission windows.

The highlight of the weekend will be Cedar Point's legendary grand fireworks display. At 10:30 p.m. on July 4, the Cedar Point skyline will explode with color and light as the "Light Up The Point" spectacle of fireworks wows viewers right over Lake Erie.

But fireworks won't be the only spectacle in the sky on the Fourth of July. A four-person skydiving team from Fastrax Professional Skydiving will salute America in daytime and nighttime jumps that pay tribute to the land of the free and home of the brave.

And if you're not part of the military, don't worry -- Cedar Point is offering you some deals that are hard to pass up.

Guests can purchase a special, limited-time four pack of tickets good for one-day admission into Cedar Point for just $44 each. That's a savings of more than $70 off the gate price when you purchase four.

Also available, the Light Up The Point Combo includes a one-day admission ticket and a single meal deal voucher for only $53.99, a savings of $22. A single meal deal includes an entree, side and regular-sized fountain drink at one participating location.

These two ticket offers are valid for use any one day through Sunday, July 5. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cedarpoint.com.
