Little Caesars Pretzel Crust Pizza And Dippers Reviewed (Video)

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - The popular soft pretzel crust pizza has returned to the menu at Little Caesars restaurants this week - along with a new pretzel dippers side – and CBS Detroit employees sampled the dishes.

For a limited time, the Detroit-based pizza will offering a large, soft pretzel crust pepperoni pizza topped with cheddar cheese sauce, pepperoni, and a four-cheese blend of Asiago, Fontina, Parmesan, and white cheddar cheeses for $7.

CBS employees tried the pizza at lunch Wednesday and found the pizza:

• "Solid," said Evan Jenkins who had the pizza previously and hoped there would be pizza sauce. Despite not having sauce, he stated "It's enjoyable. I like it a lot."
• Aaron Gonzalez started with the pretzel crust and found that it wasn't "overly pretzel." "If you go too pretzel, it can be very doughy, or heavy pretzel. Sometimes a heavy pretzel is not that good," he said. "A light pretzel, you can get that taste, it's perfect."

The pretzel crust pizza will be available "HOT-N-READY" daily from 4-8 p.m. to Aug. 30.

Additionally, Cheese-N-Pretzel Dippers - 16 pieces of toasted, soft pretzel bites served with a side of cheddar cheese dip - will be available for $3.49.

• Ryan Wooley, a "huge" fan of pretzels who gets the dip stick pretzels at the mall, said that he was not a fan of dippers. "It might be the cheese," he said. As for the pizza, he liked the flavor, the salt, the cheese, the pretzel. "I'd go for that."
