Police Searching For Man After Naked 3-Year-Old Found Wandering In Pontiac
PONTIAC (WWJ) - Police are investigating after a naked toddler was found wandering the streets of Pontiac in the middle of the afternoon.
The 3-year-old girl was found just after 2 p.m. Tuesday walking around an apartment complex near Walton Boulevard and Giddings Road. A cleaning crew in the area noticed the girl and took her to the rental office.
Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded to the complex and located the apartment where the toddler lived, but no one was inside. Investigators eventually obtained a phone number for the toddler's mother and gave her a call.
Apparently, the 24-year-old woman told police that she left her daughter in the care of her boyfriend, who was supposed to be supervising the child at her apartment.
Police are now searching for the woman's boyfriend. Child Protective Services is also investigating.
The child has since been turned over to the mother.
