Detroit Man With Driver's License Suspended 43 Times Arrested Again

TROY (WWJ) - A driver whose driver's license has been suspended 43 times is facing more charges.

Troy police pulled over a 56-year old Detroit man early last Wednesday morning on Crooks Road, south of Wattles, for a moving violation. While searching the Chevy Silverado, police say, officers found an open bottle of liquor tucked between the driver's seat and center console.

Police said, as it turns out, the man had "several valid warrants" out for his arrest. No details were provided about the warrants.

The man was taken into custody and is facing charges of driving on a suspended license and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle.

His name was not immediately released.
