Did Michigan State Police Win The Internet On Back To The Future Day?

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) Silver DeLoreans with their gull-wing doors raised are a rare sight on Michigan roads.

In 1985 or 2015, they're bound to draw attention -- especially from the police.

Showing their sense of humor -- and proving it's in there, somewhere -- the Michigan State Police used the classic DeLorean featured in "Back To The Future" in a meme wishing everyone a great day.

If you've been hibernating in a cave thus far today, know that today's date is the one Marty McFly and Doc Brown choose when heading into the mysterious future. They find flying cars, odd outfits and the occasional guy in a silver helmet.

Where they were going, they didn't need roads. But you do, so when you're on them, follow the speed limit.
