TV Channel Trolls Detroit Fans, Promises A Show More Boring Than Lions Thanksgiving Game
A cable TV channel is throwing some shade on Detroit Lions fans, promising to offer "the single most boring program ever to appear on television during Thanksgiving... even more boring than the Detroit Lions football game."
Henry Schlieff, the head of Destination America, made the comment in a statement promoting the network's Thanksgiving special -- a five-hour, real-time train trip across Alaska with an encore immediately following.
"The special is a classic cure for insomnia, sure to induce ZZZs from Anchorage to Atlanta and guaranteed to make you lose your train of thought," the statement says. "You will see nothing - or, almost nothing other than what the cameras themselves see attached to the train."
Sure, the Lions have had a pitiful season thus far. But do they really think people would rather watch a dumb train ride instead of an NFL game? Fat chance -- but nice try.
