DEARBORN (WWJ) - A local woman who tweeted that Dearborn should be blown up to protest ISIS has apologized for making those threats.

The tweet and Beebe's social media accounts have since been deleted, but not before police launched an investigation and identified her as the author.

Now, Beebe  is saying she's sorry for making a threat targeting Muslims in Dearborn.

"I am sorry to the entire city of Dearborn and anyone who is affected by my ignorance by my post on Twitter. I would never wish ill on any one especially because of their religious beliefs and that off the cuff post will haunt me the rest of my life," Beebe told WXYZ-TV. "I am very sorry and I hope the people of Dearborn can see that I screwed up, and I am truly from the heart sorry."

Beebe added that she was wrong to express her anger that way. It's not yet clear if she will be facing any criminal charges.

David Gelios, special agent in charge of Detroit's FBI, said law enforcement will not tolerate social media threats.

"The FBI won't stand for people making threats or hoping to take repercussions against any segment of our population here in the United States," Gelios told WWJ's Charlie Langton. "And people who would post such threats suggestive of retaliation, that is something we'll investigate aggressively."

Gelios said it is now up to prosecutors to charge Beebe with a crime.
