Cheap Version Of The New Star Wars Trailer [VIDEO]

By Sara

Are you ready for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"?  Have you bought your tickets yet?  Now?  How about now? Do you have all of your figurines lined up to be part of your Christmas photo?  Have you named your children Luke, Leia and Chewie?  Good.  The Force is strong with you.

But have you carefully crafted a shot-for-shot remake of the trailer using cardboard, flashlights, and cameos from your neighbors.  No? THEN CAN YOU REALLY CALL YOURSELF A SUPERFAN?!?

There is a term for these intentionally crappy remakes.  It is called "sweding".  The word was first used in the 2008 movie "Be Kind Rewind" when Jack Black and Mos Def remake all of the movies carried in their local video store in an attempt to save the business.

Now, sweding is done as a sign of love and fandom, and the one that is currently blowing up the internet is for the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer.
