Woman Dies After Being Found Unresponsive In Car In Royal Oak Parking Lot

ROYAL OAK (WWJ) -- Royal Oak police are investigating after a Southfield resident was found unresponsive in her car on Sunday.

Lieutenant David Clemens said 21-year-old Brittany Jones was found in the municipal lot on Main Street around 3 a.m. Sunday. Officers found the woman after a 911 call indicated she was passed out in the driver seat of a black Ford Mustang.

When Jones didn't wake up after repeated attempts, officers forced their way into the car and determined that she had a pulse, but were unable to revive her.

Jones was rushed to Royal Oak Beaumont where she later died. The cause of death remains undetermined at this time.
