Young Suspects Caught On Camera Breaking Into Home: Do You Recognize These Boys? [VIDEO]

WESTLAND (WWJ) - Police in Westland are hoping the public can help identify two young men who were caught on camera -- twice -- breaking into a vacant home.

Police say the break-in happened at a home in the 8000 block of Farmington Road, in a neighborhood near Cowan and Venoy roads.

The homeowner told police the home has been broken into several times over the past few months, with the suspects shattering windows to gain entry. Fed up with being victimized, the homeowner installed security cameras and the investment quickly paid off.

The cameras captured two young suspects breaking into the home on at least two separate occasions. The video footage show the suspects loitering near the back door, peering into the door, and then eventually entering through the door. Once inside, police say the two ransacked the interior and may have possibly stolen items before fleeing the scene.

Both suspects are described as white males with a thin build, approximately 16- to 18-years-old and with short brown hair.

The first suspect was wearing a dark shirt during one break-in, and a dark coat during another. The other suspect was wearing the same thing during both break-ins: a hooded sweatshirt that is dark blue on the bottom, light blue in the middle, and grey on top.  He was also wearing bright blue tennis shoes.

Anyone with information on the suspects or the break-ins is urged to contact police at 734-722-9600.
