Longtime Radio Newsman Bob Schuman Dies At Age 65

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit radio family lost a longtime member on Saturday.

Bob Schuman died at age 65 on Saturday morning at his home in Michigan. Schuman worked primarily as a news director, making stops at WOMC, WYCD, WJR and many other radio stations around the country.

WWJ Newsradio 950 morning anchor Roberta Jasina spoke live about the out-pour of social media posts dedicated to Schuman.

"He had a big voice, a big brain and a big heart," Jasina said. "He was a great writer and a great broadcaster. And a good friend too."

The cause of death was not immediately known.
