Man Wanted In Shelby Twp. Advance America Armed Robbery [PHOTOS]

SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) - Police and Crime Stoppers are hoping a tip from the public will help them to identify a man who robbed a Shelby Township payday loan store.

Police said the suspect, seen in surveillance photos, flashed a black pistol when he held up Advance America — on Van Dyke near 21 Mile Rd. — at 10:22 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29.

He's described as a black male, with medium build, in his mid 30s.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for the tip that leads to an arrest in this case. As always, all rewards are paid anonymously.

Anyone who might know the man in the photos or who has any information about this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Tipsters can also text the  CSM and the tip to 274637, or submit information online at www.1800speakup.org.
