Wind Turbine Partially Falls Down In Michigan; No Injuries

ELKTON, Mich. (AP) - A wind turbine has partially fallen down in Michigan's agricultural Thumb region.

No injuries were reported. WLEW-AM says a portion of the turbine that includes the blades fell Thursday near the Huron County community of Elkton, about 100 miles north of Detroit.

There was no immediate word about what caused the turbine to fall. The area saw high winds and heavy snow during a storm that started Wednesday.

Oliver Township Planning Commission Chairman Brion Dickens says the turbine is located among others in a field and no other damage was apparent.
