LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — With the wind blowing out, Ian Kinsler, Miguel Cabrera, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Tyler Collins and Andrew Romine homered for Detroit on Wednesday in the Tigers' 11-5 win over the Washington Nationals.
Tyler Moore and Scott Sizemore homered for the Nationals
Viictor Martinez had a single and an RBI for Detroit and is hitting .400.
Justin Verlander made his second start and allowed one hit in three shutout innings while walking two and striking out one.
Washington starter Gio Gonzalez gave up four runs — two earned — two hits and four walks in 2 2/3 innings.
