In Marvin Jones, the Detroit Lions have found the WR they think can replace the newly retired Calvin Johnson. The signing hasn't been made official since teams can't officially sign till 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
Calvin was widely considered a class act, a soft-spoken guy who loved his mother and spoke highly of the city that embraced him. So how similar are Johnson and Jones in their personal lives?
We don't know yet, but we can see some interesting videos of Jones floating around on Twitter.
There's this one where Jones shows he can really sing as he belts out a tune in church.
And then there's this: During the baby shower for his son, Jones wears a diaper and crawls up to the child's mother pretending to be the infant. WARNING some NSFW language in the video.
After his final high school game, Jones was captured on video giving an emotional speech.
This video was captured of Jones on draft day.
If you're curious about the T-shirt he's sporting in several of the clips with the slogan "no shnacks," here is the definition, according to its Facebook page, "No Shnacks" is a metaphor for a positive mindset. To do your absolute best in every aspect of life is to give "No Shnacks."
It'll be interesting to see the Jones Detroit comes to know.
